YSB offers free basic necessities to youth who need food, clothing, shelter and care.

Downtown Services and Drop-in

Visit the Downtown Services and Drop-in. We will provide food and clothing, as well as access to medical services, showers, laundry facilities, and more. Staff can also help you find a safe place to spend the night.

These shelters serve young people aged 16 to 20, 365 days a year.

Transitional Housing
The Transitional Housing program provides eligible youth with semi-independent, supportive, affordable, semi-furnished bachelor apartments for up to one year.

Youth aged 16 to 20 who require support to live independently can get more information about the program and how to apply by contacting the program coordinator.

Long-Term Housing Program

Housing and Trusteeship Program

The Housing and Trusteeship Program helps youth find and maintain safe housing — we focus on emergency shelter services, but we can help you find longer-term solutions, too.

Youth Health Clinic

Our Youth Health Clinic provides easy access to free health care services, such as medical, dental and sexual health clinics at our downtown drop-in. Youth can also get help with mental health issues and addictions.

Social Assistance Eligibility Estimator

Ontario has two social assistance programs for people in financial need: Ontario Works and the Ontario Disability Support Program. The Eligibility Estimator is a quick way to find out if you might qualify for one or both of these programs. It takes about 2 – 5 minutes.
